Prior to starting the law firm of Cupps & Garrison with Mr. Cupps, Travis was an attorney with an international law firm headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio and a large Columbus, Ohio based law firm. Prior to practicing law, Travis had over eight years of progressive business experience in the transportation and aluminum manufacturing industries with a family-owned business and in the consumer products industry with the international companies of Frito-Lay, Inc. and Dr Pepper/Seven Up Company. |

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE |
- Business and Corporate Law: Represented and advised individuals and businesses of various sizes in entity selection, formation, organization and corporate governance matters. Negotiated and drafted a wide variety of commercial contracts and assisted in the acquisition, sale, merger and consolidation of businesses. Represented and advised individuals and businesses concerning shareholder disputes and director and officer liability matters.
- Creditor’s Rights and Bankruptcy: Represented secured and unsecured creditors and Chapter 11 Debtors in state and federal bankruptcy courts in such matters as business reorganization, commercial collections, real estate sales, real estate foreclosure actions, preference actions, fraudulent transfer actions and commercial lease and executory contract litigation.
- Litigation: Represented individuals and businesses before Ohio’s state trial and appellate courts on such matters as contract disputes, collections, Ohio CSPA and federal FDCPA claims, foreclosure actions and the enforcement of judgment and mechanic’s liens.
- Real Estate: Represented individuals and businesses in the acquisition and sale of real estate. Negotiated and drafted commercial leases, purchase agreements, land contracts, promissory notes and mortgages.
